Behavior Technician / Registered Behavior Technician

Apweln is looking for a compassionate and energetic Behavior Technician to join our team!
Apweln is a small partnership founded by Behavior Analysts. We aim to cultivate a positive and supportive work environment while providing ABA (Applied Behavior Analysis) services to families around the West Pearland, TX area.
We utilize the science of behavior to bring positive change based on the individualized goals of the child and family. We believe in a child-centered, team-based approach. Collaborating with the child’s interdisciplinary team (caregivers, teachers, speech pathologists, occupational therapists, physical therapists, etc.) we are able to create high impact, meaningful change. As the professional delivering services, your job entails completing 1:1 therapy sessions with assigned patients in their homes as prescribed by the overseeing Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA).
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities
Displays patience and compassion in working with children and their caregivers
Enthusiasm to learn and grow as a professional
Energetic and playful attitude when working with children
History of working with children between the ages of 2 years - 6 years old
Familiar with utilizing principles of Applied Behavior Analysis (preferred)
Qualifications
Must have reliable transportation
Valid Driver’s License
Pass a state and federal background check
Current CPR and First Aid certification (must be complete prior to start date)
RBT or obtain RBT credential from the BACB within the first 60 days of employment
Education
Bachelor’s Degree in Education, Psychology, Applied Behavior Analysis or related field (preferred)
Minimum of a High School Diploma or equivalent
Location
In-Clinic ABA Services in West Pearland (Silverlake Professional Building)
Apweln operates between the hours of 8:00am - 3:00pm, Monday thru Friday and is closed most major U.S. holidays
Daily Responsibilities
Implement treatment plan goals as written and assigned by the BCBA
Move between floor play, table, and outside play areas in step with the child to maintain safety
Accurately record data and complete session notes at the end of each session
Communicate professionally with caregivers and vocalize to the BCBA any concerns that arise during the session
Compensation:
Part-Time employment (25 hrs per week or less)
$18 - $25 per hour depending on experience, education, and certification
